Scrap Pages in a bag

Due to constant demand, and my way of helping your scrapping along I am very proud to announce "Scrap Pages in a BAG".......all materials and instruction will be included all you do is put together, put your own spin on it and add photos. Kits will be limited to 10 kits per page so first in best dressed. The cost of the kits will vary from month to month and you will also have the option of just buying the instructions and supply list with some months kits to include a free template. I will also mix them up from month to month to be pages single and double, off the page kits etc.

1st Kits will be online 1st April 2008

Using Word to write in circles

I love circles and journaling in a circle is a very cool looking accent to your pages....some of you have seen this in my pages and here is how I did it..

First of all you need to open a new document in word. Then you need to make sure you have the drawing toolbar operational. The drawing toolbar looks like this:

If it is not on, just go to View - Toolbars and then tick the Drawing one. Simple!

Now lets get down to the nitty gritty! First you need to go to the drawing toolbar and select the "A" icon which allows you to insert "word art". This will bring up a box that will let you select the style of your word art.

You can see the box around the one I selected here, but choose something simple to start with and then play around with styles later.

Next you will get up a little box where you can insert your text, choose your font and your font size. Make sure that what you write has some length so it will lend itself to being transformed into a circular shape.

Click OK, and this will put your words on the document in the style of lettering you chose. If you now click somewhere on or near your words you should get a menu box pop up. This menu box allows you to edit this "box" of words.

From the Word Art editing box select the funny shaped "A" which is word art "shape". This should bring up another box with a vast array of shapes to choose from.

From this menu select the basic circle shape (three across and two down). This will then wrap your words around the box that it is in. The box though, may start out looking like a long thin rectangle and not look very circular at all. To fix this find the corner of the box and drag it so it becomes more square shaped. As you do this you will see the words becoming more circular. Adjust until you are happy and hey presto you're done!
